The Valoris Foundation of Prescott-Russell has three scholarship programs. In 2015-2016, a total amount of $11,850 was allocated in its three scholarship programs, which have been in place for a number of years.

Social Work Succession Scholarships     * $500

These scholarships, available in each of Prescott-Russell’s 12 secondary schools and at the Centre d’éducation et de formation de l’Est ontarien, are awarded to deserving students who are enrolled in a social work post-secondary program. Schools are responsible for selecting the recipients.

Fondation de La Cité Scholarships     *$1,000

These scholarships are intended to contribute to the success of Prescott-Russell youth who pursue post-secondary education at La Cité. Information available in French only.

Fondation de La Cité - Transportation Scholarships     * $1,500

These scholarships are intended to help with the cost of transportation for Prescott-Russell youth pursuing post-secondary education at La Cité and enrolled in the Intégration communautaire par l’éducation coopérative program. The scholarship is divided into two instalments ($750 per semester).

The request can be made after acceptance in a program.

Crown Ward Scholarship Program     *$1,500

These scholarships are intended for wards or former wards of Valoris, 17 years of age or older, who plan to attend a post-secondary institution. In order to be considered, applications must be accompanied by all supporting documents. The scholarship is devided into two instalments ($750 per semester).

Raymond Lemay Scholarship     * $3,000

This scholarship will be awarded to one resilient youth aged 30 or less, having received services from Valoris, and enrolled in a college, university or other educational program leading to a diploma.
