On September 10, it’s World Suicide Prevention Day. Each year, suicide affects more than 20 million people worldwide: victims, relatives, friends, acquaintances. All communities are affected by this devastating act. Even though addressing the topic of suicide can be difficult for some people it is essential for others. Listening and showing compassion to those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts can help with the feelings of isolation and make them aware that they are not alone.

Every day of the year, it is important to remember that small actions can help make a big difference. That's why Valoris invites the entire community of Prescott-Russell to take a moment to change a life on September 10th. Everyone can mark this day in their own way, whether by wearing the orange ribbon, a symbol of hope, or by placing a candle at a window at around 8 pm to support suicide prevention.
